BBC bashing Tories deny deal with Murdoch

We would like to make it clear that the Conservatives’ plans to neuter Ofcom, freeze the BBC licence fee and tear up its charter, allow media barons to control as much regional news as they want, and remove the necessity to broadcast politically impartial news reports, has nothing at all to do with a deal done with Murdoch so The Sun would support the Tories at the next election.

If the Conservatives’ plans happen to be precisely what Murdoch would like government to do to maximise the profits and power of News Corp., and that it will usher in Fox News-style (right wing) campaigning ‘news’ broadcasts, is obviously just a coincidence.
