Boris too busy to heal Eastbourne gaffe

Eastbourne Today tells us that Boris Johnson has refused to visit the town he “slammed” in his Telegraph column back in July. In a reply to an offer to visit the town by ruling Lib Dem councillors, the London Mayor has written: “Alas, I am snowed under at the moment and I won’t be able to take you up on your kind offer.” It is not known whether this is viewed as a bad thing or not by local Conservatives.
