Candidates line up to take back Crewe for Labour

Three Labour campaigners have so far declared that they intend to seek selection to fight for Labour in the Crewe and Nantwich constituency at the next general election. Local borough councillor Steve Conquest has announced he will run for the candidacy, as has former Congleton candidate Gary Poole.

On Friday David Williams, the late Gwyneth Dunwoody’s agent, announced that he intends to be a selection candidate too. Labour’s candidate will be decided from a short-list in October. Other challengers may join the internal contest in the next few days.
