Crumbs! Cameron takes the biscuit with false PMQs claim

David Cameron today used Prime Ministers’ Questions to accuse Gordon Brown of “dithering” over which type of biscuit he likes. ‘Biscuitgate’ as some silly members of the press have called it concerns a recent online chat with members of the MumsNet website which included multiple questions asking the PM which biscuit he likes.

Cameron would have us believe that the reason Gordon Brown didn’t answer the question is because couldn’t make up his mind, but the facts of the matter show that’s far from the truth.

In reality, Number 10 staff did not show the PM the biscuit questions during the Web chat, but once it became apparent that the question had been missed Gordon Brown answered it via Twitter. These facts were well known before PMQs.

If Cameron can’t even get the facts straight on ‘biscuitgate’, why would anybody believe a word he said on more important matters?
