Labour blogger shortlisted for the Glenrothes by-election

Leading Scottish Labour blogger Kezia Dugdale, 27, is among three candidates who have been shortlisted to become the Labour candidate for the Glenrothes by-election. The other two candidates are Colin Davidson, 49, a teacher in Bell Baxter High School, and Lindsay Roy, 59, the Rector (head teacher) of Kirkcaldy High School and tipped to be the frontrunner in the contest.

On her blog, Kezia Dugdale explained:
“I’m serious about standing for Glenrothes and I’ll be offering the local members tonight a fresh, positive voice for Labour values but also one that really has the appetite and the drive to take Alex Salmond and the SNP head on.

There are 3 candidates going before the local party tonight, because unlike the SNP, it’s the local party members that have the final say over who their candidate is.” Read the full article.
