Enterprising Labour members Grace Fletcher-Hackwood and Kevin Peel are today launching ‘#mobmonday’, a new online initiative to connect people from across Britain to help Labour in key marginal constituencies.
Without leaving the comfort of their own home, campaigners will be using Labour’s virtual phone bank to call voters in Bury North, where the young PPC Maryam Khan is fighting to make sure that Bury stays Labour.
The virtual ‘flash mob’ is the first of its kind, and campaigners are encouraging the use of Twitter to discuss their experience using the tag #mobmonday.
To register your support for the event, which takes place between 6pm and 8pm, email Kevin Peel or Grace Fletcher-Hackwood at mancyounglabour@googlemailcom or DM @kevpeel or @msgracefh on Twitter.
