Labour turns to Twitter to rebut Conservative conference claims

Labour’s press team has announced their intention to use Twitter this week to provide instant comment on proceedings at the Conservative conference for journalists and bloggers.

The move raises the stakes in the use of new media and is an indication that Labour, increasingly unable to be listened to by the press, is to appeal directly to voters and opinion formers via the Internet.
