Plaid Cymru councillor decides he doesn’t have time for Cardiff

Pity the voters of Pentyrch, Cardiff, who’ve only just had to vote again to fill the gap left by the resignation of a Conservative councillor. Now Plaid Cymru Councillor Jeffrey Canning has decided that he doesn’t have enough time to represent the area and has failed to return his acceptance of office on time. If there’s more than one candidate for the vacancy, and you can be sure there will be, a new election will need to be organised. Maybe Pentyrch electors will now vote for a hard working Labour councillor!
