Romford Conservatives caught scaremongering (again)

The Romford Recorder reports that: Conservatives in North Romford have been blamed for scaremongering and lying in a bid to gain residents’ support.

Their political newsletter declared: “27 teenagers murdered here in 2007″ – but it failed to mention in the large warning that the figure related to London as a whole, not Collier Row.

The scaremongering accusation comes just months after the same newsletter plunged local Tories into trouble after they wrongly proclaimed Bower Park School was set to close.”
