SNP makes Edinburgh a special case for funding, Glasgow loses out
Maryhill MSP, Patricia Ferguson, has called on the SNP Scottish government to back Glasgow like it backs Edinburgh. Glasgow North Labour Party explains:
“The SNP Government recently indicated that it considered Edinburgh to be a special case in terms of the funding which should be available to it because of the ‘extra demands’ placed on it. Given the additional significant demands Glasgow faces, in relation to the levels of deprivation which the City suffers from, Patricia Ferguson took the opportunity to ask the SNP Minister whether he would recognise Glasgow’s needs and make additional funding to our city too. Unfortunately the answer was no.”
