The redistribution of hope…

Labour needs a “narrative” says Hopi Sen (and he’s not wrong): “…there is something missing. Namely a narrative. The purpose of our policies can’t merely be to secure the re-election of a Labour government, noble purpose though that is.

Our job is to show why having a Labour government is so important to the country, and why, when it comes down to it, Britain would be better served by a Labour government than a Conservative one.

So we start from the premise that Labour’s purpose is always to make life fairer, better and easier for all the British people, and that in a society that is still unequal and unfair, you need to take action to make that happen. That is the core of our political mission.”
