“What’s Osborne hiding?” – Ainsworth

Good question. What isn’t he hiding? This is how Bob Ainsworth MP, Labour’s Minister for the Armed Forces, responded the other day to the confusion between George Osborne and Liam Fox, when he said:

“George Osborne is not only keeping his cuts hidden from the public but from the Shadow Cabinet too.

“Either he doesn’t trust his own Shadow Defence Secretary with his real plans to slash the defence budget – or his talk about saving billions on defence spending is just hot air.

“George Osborne needs to be straight with the public – and Liam Fox – and tell us which defence projects the Tories intend to scrap and how many thousands of defence jobs they would put at risk.”

Seems like the Cameron’s Conservatives are so keen on PR, they simply don’t know when to stop. Even when it involves one of their own. More from Bob Ainsworth here.
