When Ministers fight back we all hear about it

After a summer of mostly Conservative soundbites, the Cabinet today showed what a ‘fightback’ looks like, or rather sounds like. The Politics Home site, which details comments from political heavyweights, listed a total of 14 people having talked to the media today. Of those, no fewer than 10 were members of the Government, one was a trade union leader, and another a Labour MP. The Tories seemed to have been squeezed off the air, with just two managing to be quoted. If only everyday were like Monday!
