Jude Robinson is challenging Lib Dem MP Julia Goldsworthy to let the voters in Camborne, Redruth and Hayle know her views on a Lib Dem/Tory pact for government.
It has been widely reported in the press this week that Lib Dem leader Nick Clegg has indicated that if the 2010 General Election resulted in no single party winning an outright Commons majority, Lib Dem MPs would swing their votes behind David Cameron to form a Conservative government.
Jude said:
“Eighteen years of Tory government left Cornwall with an economy on a par with Eastern Europe, poverty pay and high unemployment.
“Many people voted for the Lib Dems in Cornwall just to get the Tories out. Yet in Camborne and Redruth, Julia Goldsworthy has been appealing to voters to help her get Labour out.
“The question is: would Julia join her party leader in helping David Cameron form a Tory government? Voters have a right to know.”
