Labour Matters publishes press releases from The Labour Party, its regional offices, selected Labour representatives and official election candidates, Council Labour Groups, and CLPs.

If you represent Labour as a candidate, a communications officer, or a CLP or Labour Group press officer, we want you to send us your news.

We are the newsmakers
Labour is full of newsmakers who publish press releases in the hope that an unsympathetic media will deign to include some of it in an article, but Councillors are often thwarted by a local media disinterested in politics outside of an election; MEPs find it hard to be relevant to the many local papers their constituencies cover; and MPs often find their press releases ignored by the national media altogether. If your news is not printed, all that good news is lost forever.

For an increasing number of people however the Internet is their first choice for information and Labour Matters provides you with a tool to publish all your news, unfiltered by the traditional media and available to anybody with an Internet connection.

Ready for your news
It’s easy to send your news to Labour Matters. After registering with us, Councillors, MPs, MEPs, etc., can simply email their press releases, just as they might email the newsdesks of their local newspaper. The difference is that Labour Matters will publish them in full without adding any journalistic spin or editing.

To get started just register once and then add news@labourmatters.com to your normal press release email list. Your news will be published as soon after we receive your first emailed news and a ‘micro site’ will be created by us which will list all your news in reverse chronological order.
