"Paul Blomfield, Labour’s Parliamentary Candidate for Sheffield Central......"

The headline says it all, really. Another urban-based Labour MP desperately trying to justify what has been a complete and utter failure for the last 5 years and an object lesson in how to introduce and justify totally farcical legislation.

The Hunting Act is an unworkable, unnecessary and ludicrous law. It makes criminals of people who'se dogs chase mice whilst out for a walk for goodness sake! (but not rabbits, oddly enough! why? do rabbits have less welfare rights than hares or mice according to Labour?!)

This legislation is thinly-disguised class war, ignorance and bigotry all masquerading as an animal welfare bill and has been a complete failure and a waste of time for all concerned for the last 5 years. Oh, and don't forget the 700+ hours of parliamentary time completely wasted on bringing this law about!

I'd be very interested to see how many people sign up to this ridiculous 'Back the Ban' campaign compared to the tens, if not hundreds of thousands, who enjoyed the traditional Boxing Day hunt yesterday.

Wake up Labour! Admit that you got this wrong. Very wrong.
