Labour’s General Election Co-ordinator: Winning the election “will be difficult, but is do-able.”

Douglas Alexander MP, Labour’s General Election Co-ordinator today told the conference:

“Labour can still win both the battle of ideas and the battle of organisation in the coming months.”

While acknowledging the Tory’s financial strength, Douglas Alexander revealed that Labour members have contacted 675,000 voters in marginal seats during 6 months of this year – twice the number Labour achieved the year before the elections in 2001 and 2005.

He also told the conference that winning the election “will be difficult, but is do-able,” and argued that “it is not game over, it is game on.”
