Standing Up For Britain - Labour’s Party Political Broadcast
A new party political broadcast by the Labour Party will be shown for the first time this evening following today’s Queen’s Speech. Labour has also released web-only footage of the Prime Minister talking about Labour’s plans to help families and businesses through these tough times.
“Standing Up For Britain” will highlight how Labour will go on taking urgent action to give people real help now.
And it shows how as we concentrate on bringing people through these difficult times in a fair way, we must also prepare for the future so Britain emerges from this downturn fairer and stronger.
This Queen’s Speech sets out measures that will enable Britain to build a fairer future for all.
If we can work together, we can not only get through these difficult times but we can build a stronger, fairer Britain for every one of our citizens.
The broadcast will be shown today at the following times:
BBC 2 - 5.55pm
BBC 1 - 6.55pm
ITV 1 - 6.55pm
