The anti-parking charges campaign is getting into top gear for a meeting of Westminster’s Scrutiny Committee on 31st March. There will be a meeting for motorbikers at the famous Ace Cafe at 3pm on March 31st before they ride to Trafalgar Square for a 5pm demonstration prior to the Scrutiny Committee.

Councillor Paul Dimoldenberg, Leader of the Labour Group, said:

“Putting the campaign’s song and video on YouTube is an inspired piece of campaigning and should make it clear to Westminster Conservatives that the motorbike parking protest continues in good voice and will not go away. Charging Westminster residents £150 a year to park their bikes is equivalent to a 22% Council Tax rise and is totally unjustified – even from a Council which is sacking 400 staff and is strapped for cash after wasting £17 million investing in now-failed Icelandic Banks.”
