Labour Councillors have called for action to bring two long standing vacant properties in Warlock Road, W9 back into use to house up to six local families. Labour Harrow Road Councillor Guthrie McKie says that the properties at 59 and 61 Warlock Road have been boarded up for at least two years.
Councillor Guthrie McKie said:
“These two properties have been boarded up for a number of years. In fact I remember No 59 where Karen Buck and I took the previous Chief Executive to visit the family who were living in appalling conditions. The family were re-housed in Walterton Road. But that was three years ago! These two empty properties would house 4 – 6 families.”
