Westminster Labour calls for action to bring vacant houses back into use

Labour Councillors have called on Westminster City Council to take urgent action to bring empty houses in Bayswater and Harrow Road back into use and have identified three vacant and boarded up houses as examples:

29 Monmouth Road, W2
17 Talbot Road, W2
61 Warlock Road, W9

Harrow Road Councillor Guthrie McKie, Labour’s Housing Spokesperson, said:

“It is vital that all vacant and boarded up houses are brought back into use and the Council should use all its powers to take urgent action. With so many people in overcrowded conditions or forced to live in bed and breakfast at the other side of London, the Council owes it to residents to get these empty houses back into use.”
